Have you ever felt at times that you are too tired to keep running and too scared to stop? All too often the state of our union is in the state of overwhelm and we may find ourselves seeking a place to hide or a place to restore our innate, knowing that we are always only one moment away from making an inspired choice that can change the direction of our health, our well-being and our life.
Bruce Lee said that to find and make room for simplicity, “it is not a daily increase, but a daily decrease that is created in hacking away at the inessentials”. I am always in the process of “hacking away” at my life’s “inessentials”. Amongst other inessentials I successfully cut away the news nearly 20 years ago—I now know more about what is a worthy current event and what is really going on. To raise my vibration simply and powerfully, I released the habit of medicating myself with alcohol and/or Oreos (even double stuff ones) when I was feeling stressed or depressed and decided instead to demonstrate the empowering rituals of exercise, meditation, and affirmative living to make my way through the dark and re-sourcing of light.
What “inessentials” are you carrying around and allowing to weigh you down? It is your turn to take the lighter lead in your life and release the burden of people, places or things that dim your light and steal your fire. Courageously choose to demonstrate your divine simplicity, gratefully knowing that you have the infinite wisdom to choose to see that which no longer serves you and your mission to increase your vitality and ever-expanding awesomeness.
Break the law of distraction. In much the same way our digestive system flourishes under the influence of a clean and simple diet of whole foods, our minds think, create and thrive under the influence of a clean and simple diet of focus and meditation. Our bodies are better at assimilating nutrients from broccoli when it is not smothered in “glow-in-the-dark” fake cheese. And our minds are better at assimilating and utilizing divine intelligence when it is fed focused intention over multi-tasking mindlessness.
It is simple but it may not be easy. When choosing the road of less, you may feel alone or insecure as you notice your “self” being less caught up in more. Trust your “divine” that this is the way home and you do know the way. Good luck on your journey.
